Here are just a few of the projects and events that we are involved in

2020-2021 MDARD Cold Hardiness Grant

This last year the Michigan Grape Society helped fund a grant with Michigan State’s Southwest Michigan Research Extension to study the cold hardiness of several major grape varieties throughout the winter. The results from this study should be available soon and we will be sure to keep you posted.

Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days

Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days is a multi-day event that takes place in late February each year and offers numerous educational sessions on a variety of different crops as well as a large trade show.

Viticulture Field Day

Viticulture Field Day takes place each July and is a mid-season educational event hosted by Michigan State’s Southwest Michigan Research Extension. This event includes sessions on a variety of viticulture subjects, as well as and opportunity to gain RUP credits.
