Our Mission
The mission of the Michigan Grape Society, is to promote the welfare of the Michigan grape industry and related services through:
Encouraging and supporting research on grape production, quality and marketing potentials.
Accumulating and disseminating of information which would promote the Michigan grape industry.
Promoting production, quality and sales of Michigan grapes and grape products
Representing the Michigan grape industry interests in matters of local, state or national concerns

The Michigan Grape Society partners with Michigan State University to host several educational events every year including
Research
The Michigan Grape Society partners with Michigan State University to help fund grants and research including a 2020-2021 Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development grant to study the winter-long cold hardiness of major grape varieties grown throughout Southwest Michigan
Our Leadership
The Michigan Grape Society is led by a volunteer board of nine directors consisting of growers, winemakers, and educators. Board terms are for three years, with electiosn taking place at our Annual Meeting in February.
The board is led by an executive council consisting of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Executive Secretary, elected from within the board of directors. The members of the executive council are elected at the Annual Meeting in February and carry a term of one year.
